Summer Florals | Fashion

Chloe Elizabeth in the sunshine

Aren't I becoming quite the fashion blogger, aye?

If you told me six months ago that I'd be wearing red/orange dresses during the summer, I'd have laughed in your face. 1) I don't/didn't like dresses, 2) Red shows up my pale skin, and 3) I don't really like florals. Oh heck, I couldn't have been more wrong! I'm super fussy about clothes that I buy at the moment, I only have to see the tiniest flaw to talk myself out of buying something. However, his little beauty, originally from Miss Selfridge, set me back £10 from TK Maxx and I couldn't be any more in love!

The dress itself has two layers: an orange minidress underneath and then the chiffon layer on top. Fortunately, the two items are actually separate so I don't have to get all mixed up trying to get into two layers of dress at once. There is also cut outs on the shoulders which I absolutely adore, I don't know why! I think it's a great way to show off a little flesh without being too revealing. There are also two pieces of string on the front which tie together into a bow - I tend to do this as tightly as possible as I have little cleavage to work with, but nevertheless I love the way it looks.

My shoes are once again my Dr. Martens Balfour sandals which I've worn in my previous outfit post - Stripes & Culottes. I quote my past self: "they'll probably be in every single outfit post that I do over the Summer" and it looks like I was right! Also my sunglasses were actually from Primark about three years back. They cost me a grand total of £1! I really do need a new pair, but for now these are fantastic and I can't even imagine how low the cost per wear is on these.

I'm now officially a convert to both red clothes and florals. I wish I had realised how much I liked them earlier! What are your favourite clothes for Summer?

  17. Nice post. I learn something more challenging on different blogs everyday. It will always be stimulating to read content from other writers and practice a little something from their store. I’d prefer to use some with the content on my blog whether you don’t mind. Natually I’ll give you a link on your web blog. Thanks for sharing.

I’m impressed, I must say. Really rarely do I encounter a blog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head. Your idea is outstanding; the issue is something that not enough people are speaking intelligently about. I am very happy that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to this.
