Experimenting with Eyelashes

[AD: post contains gifted products from falseeyelashes.co.uk. gifted items marked with an asterisk (*)]

Recently, I have been experimenting a lot more with using false eyelashes and getting my eye makeup just right. Since purchasing the James Charles Makeup Artistry palette, my love for makeup has just jumped through the roof. I can't believe how much I love it!

I genuinely think that a lot of the issues with me, when it comes to eye makeup, is lack of practice and not using the right tools. Since I've been using the Morphe palettes, and put more effort into understanding what brushes are for what aspects of the face, I've found that my skills have shot through the roof. False lashes are such an easy to way to send a makeup look from 1 to 100, it's a skill that I really love utilising.

Falseeyelashes.co.uk were recently kind enough to send me a bundle of their best selling products, and I must say - I'm in love! Having an eyelash applicator tool instead of using my hands to apply lashes has absolutely changed my life. It allows you to be so much more precise and to blend them into your natural lashes a whole lot easier. The bundle that they sent really demonstrates just how many lashes they have; from the Eyelure 117*, and my beloved Ardell demi wispies*.

Taking a look at the website itself; they have a whole host of offers and deals, to cut down the cost of buying lashes (as the price can really add up when buying them straight from the drugstore!). The site is super cute and well organized, stocking a range of products such as starter kits and also brow products.

When it comes to eye makeup, I think the key is to just practice, practice, practice! I've been watching lots of James Charles/Jeffree Star videos on YouTube and I think they're both great, and their makeup skills are incredible. It's really informative to see how to blend eyeshadow, apply liner and so on to really make the most out of your products. I'd love to hear any tips/advice you have for making your eyes pop!

  1. Eyelash wearing has forever scared me even though they can look gorgeous on so many people! I think if I was going to try them, the Ardell one's are the one's I've heard most good things about so far and, if they're cheaper on this cite, I might have to give them a go :-)

  2. I am a eyelash fanatic. I no longer do them myself and get extensions every 2 weeks but love this post! But, if I was putting them on myself again I for sure would try the applicator. I have seen them but never gave them a try. Great post xoxo

  3. Ardell Wispies are bloody amazing, some of my absolute favourites lashes to wear! I totally agree that having an applicator makes all the difference, I find it so helpful to hold the lashes properly in place while the glue is drying between the lash and eyelid! I haven't actually worn glue ones in ages as I've found a new love in magnetic lashes but I do have a few pairs I need to use up!

  4. I cannot hack eyelashes at all! I'm rather luckily blessed with long eyelashes that, after a lash lift, look stunning with the right mascara! x

  7. I've dipped my pinky in the false eyelash game but (I'll be honest) have become quite discouraged. LOL. You're totally right, it takes a lot of practice, practice, practice. With what little patience I have combined with a meticulous skill like applying lashes... not the best combo hahah. But hey, practice makes perfect, right? #notgivingup
