When we were greeted into the store we were immediately given a glass of prosecco by the staff and there were also people with canapés wandering around the store. The store was actually still open at the time and so there were plenty of staff on hand to ask for advice on the products in store and they all seemed to have fantastic product knowledge of a variety of brands.
Me and Katrina browsed the store for a while, and admittedly I absolutely loved the Chanel watches as they had an arm to show you the watches on! I know that this may sound ridiculous, but we were discussing with staff how difficult it is to know how a watch looks without trying it on as they all look so different. I think that this is a fantastic way of seeing how products look when they’re actually on your wrist, rather than just looking at them on a typical display. My favourite watch in store was actually one of the Gucci G-Timeless watches, but unfortunately at approximately £1,000, the price point is currently a little bit out of reach for me! I also didn’t realise this but brands such as Tag Heuer now also stock smartwatches! They look surprisingly like a manual watch and so if you were looking for a more traditional styled watch, rather than an apple wrist strap, you could opt for one of these beauties, price permitting.
Thank you to Goldsmiths for hosting a wonderful opportunity, it was fantastic to be able to take a look at all of the products and the new store looks incredible! Thank you to Katrina for inviting me along and to both Katrina and Lauren for being such wonderful ladies!
