Gin seems to be the go-to drink in this day and age; and I absolutely can’t complain, I love gin and lemonade. When I was offered the opportunity to trial the ILoveGin subscription box for three months, I knew I wouldn’t be declining the offer, and I looked forward to trying it. The box costs £14 monthly and contains two 5cl bottles of gin and two bottles of tonic. This is enough to make a total of four G&Ts, which isn’t bad value for money at all.

The box arrived nearing the end of the month, it was very well packaged and super exciting to open (as you won’t know what gin you will get until it’s here!). This months edition was the Winter Wonderland box; containing:
- Aber Falls & Peaky Blinder Gins
- Regency Blue Tonic x2
The Peaky Blinder Gin is derived from the era of Peaky Blinders; who ruled the streets of Birmingham during the first World War. In ode to this time, the gin is referred to as ‘punchy’ and tastes of orange, coffee bean, and cassia, ginger, black pepper and fresh citrus. Additionally, the Aber Falls marmalade gin is another orange flavoured gin; with juniper running throughout. I was super impressed to find out that the marmalade gin had also won a silver medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
I was also super impressed to find out that the Regency tonic is produced in Sussex, and is a premium level product. The sugar content is low and the ingredients are all natural, meaning that it’s a lot healthier than high sugar alternatives. I’m usually more of a lemonade person than I am tonic, although having tried the gin with both tonic and lemonade (separately, obviously), I can confirm that it is v tasty!
Overall, I’m really impressed with the quality of the products that ILoveGin offer, especially considering the affordable price point. I can’t wait to see what the next box has to offer!
