Pink Clouds Desenio Print on Wall Three Desenio Prints on Walls Piece of Rose Quartz and Silver Jewellery on Bedside Table

Sup guys, I hope you’re all doing well! I’m super excited to share todays’ blog post with you. I’ve actually been working on redecorating my room at the moment, it’s a bit of a change-in-progress as I’m gradually working on simplifying my space and decluttering. As I’m now coming to the end of the changing journey, I thought I’d share some snapshots of my new space and talk you through what I’ve done – as well as my current to-read list!

The first stage of my re-vamp process was to sell some of my old items and to declutter. I originally had a yellow chair in the corner of my bedroom, though this pretty much became my clothes chair and so I decided to let it go. This really forced me to find new, organized homes for the clothes that were sitting loose on there. I’ve also had multiple purges of my wardrobe, drawers and the space under my bed in order to give myself more space. I didn’t really move around any of the furniture or re-paint my room as I wanted to keep my decorating simple and inexpensive, as I’d like to save for a mortgage and move out in the future.

I’ve also been loving Desenio prints recently, and so I decided that I’d love to implement a few of their pieces into my bedroom. I therefore spent a solid afternoon browsing their website and using their Gallery Wall Creator, and chose five prints that I absolutely loved in various different sizes. Three of which have taken residency on my wall, and the other two are now rested against my bedroom wall where my chair once sat. I chose the Your Mind (30 x 40cm) print, Pink Clouds (50 x 70cm), Love L (13 x 18cm), Palm Exposure (21 x 30cm), and the Cats (13 x 18cm) print. My personal favourites are Your Mind and Palm Exposure; I think Palm Exposure is just gorgeous for bringing a bit of colour to my wall, and Your Mind is incredibly true (and so motivating!).

As you may already know if you follow me on Twitter, I’ve been loving reading recently and my book collection has been growing at a rapid rate. Therefore, I decided to try and make a feature out of these instead of hiding them away in my wardrobe. The copper coloured wire tray cost me a mere £4 from Home Bargains! It’s the perfect size for containing my books and the colour works really well with the grey/white/black theme that I have going on in my bedroom. The books that I have in my to-read list include: We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves, the Happiness Hypothesis, Emotions Revealed and How to Stop Time. I also have Happy by Derren Brown to read which was a birthday present from Nati. I’ve been gradually reading it and I love it so far, but I have so much left to read!
